The American Friends Alliance was established in 2017 by a dedicated group of intellectuals and professionals united by a shared vision of humanitarian development and community empowerment.

Headquartered in Merka,Somalia,AFA has grown from a local initiative into an independent, registered non-profit civil society organization with national and international reach.
